# Getting started

> What Writesure is, how to sign up, get verified, and receive your first lead.

Writesure is a transparent, self-serve marketplace for **exclusive final expense (FEX) insurance leads** in the United States. Every lead is sold to one agent only, delivered in real time, and billed pay-as-you-go — no prepaid balance, no minimum deposit, and no sales calls.

  You sign up, link a card, and start receiving leads without talking to anyone. Pricing, contact rates, and close rates are published openly — there is no black-box bidding.

## How it works

  <Step title="Create your account">
    Sign up with email and password or with Google. You'll verify your email before continuing.

  <Step title="Complete your profile">
    Enter your **NPN** and the **states you're licensed in**, then confirm ownership of your NPN with the code we email you. See [NPN verification](/npn-verification) for details.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create your first campaign">
    A campaign tells us which leads you want and how much you'll pay. Pick your target states (within the states you're licensed in), choose a publisher and brand, and set a **max bid** and a **daily cap**. Your first campaign is created paused while your account is under review. See [Campaign basics](/campaigns).

  <Step title="Get approved">
    We verify your NPN and license states. Once that's done your account moves from **Pending review** to **Active**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a card on file">
    After approval, head to **Billing**, accept the billing terms, and link your card through our secure payment flow. Nothing is charged at this step — there's no upfront deposit. See [Billing FAQ](/billing).

  <Step title="Activate and receive leads">
    Switch your campaign on. Matched leads land in your **Inbox** in real time and are sent to your chosen delivery channel (email or Google Sheet).
