Before you can buy leads, Writesure confirms that you are a licensed agent and that you own the NPN you signed up with. This protects every consumer who fills out a form and keeps the marketplace compliant.

What we verify

  • NPN ownership — that the National Producer Number you entered belongs to you.
  • License states — the states you’re licensed in, which set the boundaries for your campaign targeting.
You can only target states you’re licensed in. A campaign’s target states must be a subset of your verified license states.

How verification works

1

Enter your NPN and license states

On the profile step of onboarding, add your NPN and select the states you hold a license in.
2

Confirm ownership by email

We send a verification code to the email associated with your producer record. Enter the code to confirm the NPN is yours. This happens inline — there’s no separate screen to wait on.
3

We review and activate

We check your details against producer records. Once confirmed, your account status moves to Active and you can add a card and start buying.

Verification statuses

You can review your current status any time under Settings → Verification.

If something doesn’t match

Check spam, and confirm the email matches the one on your producer record. You can re-request the code from the verification step.
Double-check the NPN digits and that each selected state matches an active license. If it still doesn’t resolve, you may be asked to upload a copy of your license — your documents are stored privately and only visible to you and our review team.
Add the state under Settings → Verification. New states go through the same confirmation before you can target them in a campaign.
Still stuck? Reach out to support from inside the dashboard and we’ll help resolve it quickly.

Why we require this

Writesure is compliance-first. Every lead we sell is delivered to a verified, licensed agent — never to an unverified account. Verifying your NPN once keeps that promise intact for every consumer who trusts the form they filled out.
